resumé

I am a freelance animator, currently working in cg, but originally trained and employed as a traditional drawn animator. I started working in cg in 2000 on a series of very short films called ‘pica towers’ at studio aka, which evolved into the bafta award winning short ‘jojo and the stars’, completed in 2003. since then I have animated commercials for nexus, passion, picasso and up the resolution. I animated a short mesh film for the director kwok fung lam called ‘eat dog cat mouse’ and the opening title sequence for lemony snickert at nexus called ‘the littlest elf’, where an old stop motion style was replicated. I also animated part of the gorrillaz ‘feel good live’ live mtv show. recently I animated on the oscar nominated short film, 'this way up' at Nexus productions.
although I have directed commercials and still am happy to do so, I am happiest animating for strong and creative directors who need equally creative animators.
I work happily with drawn or cg animation, and can do anything between animating one scene to taking the whole project on and delivering a finished job.
